What you will be doing:

As an Business Development Specialist you will report into the sales team and partner with our Analytics business to drive the sales process. You will report to the Director of Sales Development and Training and work closely to the Senior Director, Analytics. Additionally, this role will help develop and deliver the necessary training materials for the sales team when new features and functionality are released across our products.

The successful candidate for this role will have comfort presenting to C-level executives, pay special attention to the details, have an advanced working knowledge of Excel and basic familiarity working with relational databases.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand the prospect’s business need and then in turn create the business case for how our products can help solve those needs
  • Partner with the Analytics team and Sales Executive to create sample deliverables for prospective clients
  • Present the deliverable, in person and/or over the phone, to the prospect
  • Assist in training our sales team on new product features and functionality, with a primary focus on the Analytics product
  • Provide administrative support for our sales training initiatives, including but not limited to, developing sales scripts, developing the training for new product releases and managing the content in our LMS once implemented

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years experience in operational, clinical, financial consulting or healthcare software sales demonstrations. Experience within healthcare is required.
  • Experience in business development and business development support roles is preferred
  • High degree of competence and comfort using MS Powerpoint, MS Excel and basic familiarity with relational databases like MySQL    
  • Distinctive analytical and project management skills
  • Strong presentation skills, especially comfort in speaking and presenting to healthcare leaders across an organization
  • A demonstrated track record for accomplishing goals and meeting deadlines
